As we all know, the 2015 Audi Q5 will be introducing two new models for the US market. Both of them will feature more powerful engines than before along with a much higher level of quality in the interior but also a much higher price tag. Along with these two new models the car will also receive general improvements to the exterior as well as an improved range of engine that should decrease fuel consumption by a small margin. The new Audi SUV Q5 is expected to be available for sale in the late 2014 at a base price of around $35,000 to $40.000 for the base model.
2015 Audi Q5 new design
2015 Audi Q5 SUV will get bigger 19 inch wheels with high performance tires that will help the car reach its maximum speed in maximum safety. It will also get a new front bumper with bigger air vents to help cool the engine, a different rear bumper with a dual exhaust system and a small spoiler at the back that will help keep the car on the road at speed.
Over the standard model, the 2015 Audi Q5 S models will have a few certain things that are changed over the standard car. For example, the instrument cluster is a gray color with white lettering, the center console and the entire trim on the dashboard is made out of aluminium and the leather found even on the base model has a really nice feel to it.
New Audi SUV Q5 powertrain
As we said before the new AUdi SUV Q5 features the same engines as those found in the previous generation but it also features two brand new one. The first is found on the SQ5 TDI. This particular car has a 3 liter twin turbocharged V6 diesel that can offer around 315 horsepower and 650 N*m of torque being more than enough to outrun most super sedans. The other new engine is found in the SQ5 TFSI. This one is a 3 liter supercharged petrol engine that is good for 355 horsepower and 470 N*m of torque. Both engines can get the car from 0 to 60 MPH in under 6 seconds with a limited top speed of 140 MPH.
Transmission and drivetrain
Both the SQ5 TDI and the TFSi models come as standard with the quattro four wheel drive system that features a brand new vectoring system. This helps the new 2015 Audi Q5 put all the torque to the ground without much trouble offering quite a good driving sensation. On top of the quattro system, both of them will come with an 8 speed semi-automatic dual clutch transmission that offers both automatic mode and manual mode with the help of the shifters found on the steering wheel.
