Under the hood, the new Mitsubishi Eclipse 2016 will offer 2 different Mivec engines. The basic version will be the 2,4-liter 4-cylinder Mivec engine with the ability of pumping out 165 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Next in line is the 3,8-liter V6 Mivec engine capable of delivering 265 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The fuel consumption for these engines is rated at 20/28 mpg (city/hwy) for the 2,4-liter engine, while the 3,8-liter is rated at 16/24 mpg (city/hwy). Both of the engines will come paired with a dual clutch automatic 6-speed transmission or the manual 5-speed transmission. The FWD will come as a part of the standard offer.

Although there hasn’t been any official information about the cost of the new Mitsubishi Eclipse 2016, it is expected that it will be in the range of $22,000 to $30,000, depending, of course, on the selected features.
